The last few weeks have seen Sen. Kyrsten Sinema harassed multiple times for daring to inject some level of sanity into the reconciliation debate. As RedState reported originally, the Arizona senator was followed and filmed while going to the restroom at Arizona State University. Illegal immigrant activists were demanding she supports a “pathway to citizenship.”
Activists Plan to Confront Kyrsten Sinema While She Runs the Boston Marathon

Activists are planning to confront Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) during her participation in Monday’s Boston Marathon because she will not support the $3.5 trillion reconciliation bill.
This comes after activists of Living United for Change in Arizona followed Sinema into a bathroom at Arizona State University last week after she expressed that she would not vote for the bill due to its massive price tag.
I’m sure that’ll do it.
The idiocy by which these activists operate is breathtaking at times, not in its brazenness but rather in its complete strategic ineptness. Sinema does not respond to external pressure. She’s shown that throughout her senate career, short as it may be in the grand scheme of things. In fact, it seems as if the more the far-left pushes her, the more defiant she gets. That would make these harassing tactics completely counter-productive if the goal is to get her on board with a larger reconciliation package.
After all, if Sinema is willing to brush off the White House after Biden tried to pressure her and excuse the targeted harassment against her, how do you think she’s going to respond to some mouth-breathing Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez fans yelling at her during a marathon? The “Green New Deal Network” sounds like a parody, but I’m assured it’s a real thing.
Believe it or not, boundaries still exist in politics. The more the left ignores them, the more isolated they become in their bubble of political insanity. The louder they scream, the less they are heard. Yet, their delusion won’t allow them to accept that and act accordingly. The most ardent Bernie Sanders supporters truly believe they represent a majority of thought in the country, and to the extent that some recognize they don’t, they are fine with exerting their will anyway. Concern about “tyranny of the minority” goes out the window really quickly when massive social spending and communist utopias are on the table.
For her part, Sinema isn’t going to budge. There was a time when I couldn’t say that confidently, but she’s gone so far at this point that I simply can’t imagine her backing down now. She actually seems to thrive on the conflict as it plays into her “maverick” persona back in Arizona. That makes watching the left squirm all the more entertaining.
