CODE RED: “I Pledge Allegiance to Our Fauci…”

Early last year, Anthony Fauci told America, “Meh, masks – they might make you feel good, but they really don’t protect you.” By the end of last year, he was telling us to wear not just one mask, but three.

Early last year, I was all-in. When I was told to wear a mask, I wore a mask. I sterilized my hands like I was a surgeon about to cut open a brain. Then, I started consuming the data.

There is plenty of empirical, anecdotal, and clinical evidence that cloth masks are about as affective at arresting Covid as a screen door on a submarine.

In respect to cloth mask efficacy, the CDC has, for the most part, rejected RCT (randomized Control Trial) studies, if those studies conflict with the present political narrative. But anyone with a “Google machine” can (eventually) find RCT evidence that cloth masks are, ineffective at best, or useless politicized placebos at worst.

Anecdotal evidence that masks won’t stop Covid is a much easier find — and harder for our tech goon overlords to algorithmically memory-hole. Hawaii has likely the most stringent mask mandate in the country. It’s also…an island. Yet, Hawaii is experiencing a Florida-like surge.

The former mandates masks, the latter doesn’t. Both experienced surges. Japan has a strict mask mandate. Everyone wears a mask in public and in private. They might even wear masks to bed. Yet Japan saw a recent surge. Conclusive? No. Evidence that masks likely don’t work? Yes.

Now, schools are opening, and school districts across the country are bowing to political winds and fact-free hysteria, mandating that children wear masks, all day, every day.

In an absurd paper published online by the oxymoron “Healthychildren.org,” it asserts that because there is “no evidence” that masks impede learning, that that lack of evidence is evidence that it doesn’t impede learning. Yeah, that’s not how this works, that’s not how any of this works. There is refuting, data-driven evidence.

From an abstract published a week ago:

Leveraging a large on-going longitudinal study of child neurodevelopment, we examined general childhood cognitive scores in 2020 and 2021 vs. the preceding decade, 2011-2019. We find that children born during the pandemic have significantly reduced verbal, motor, and overall cognitive performance compared to children born pre-pandemic. Moreover, we find that males and children in lower socioeconomic families have been most affected. Results highlight that even in the absence of direct SARS-CoV-2 infection and COVID-19 illness, the environmental changes associated COVID-19 pandemic is significantly and negatively affecting infant and child development.

It’s well-documented (even by the CDC) that healthy children are at a lower risk of health consequences from Covid than from the flu, but masks weren’t ever contemplated as a prophylactic during flu season. Why now? Wearing cloth masks that impair speech, impair breathing, and likely won’t retard viral transmission is a net negative.

Beyond the physiological damage of never seeing a full human face for entire school day, day after day, masks will impeded cognitive development, and undoubtedly interfere with important visual clues — clues humans have learned and developed over millennia. Masking children will undoubtedly result in children developing at a slower pace. That’s the immediate harm. Long term damage won’t be known for years.

School boards are knee-jerking to the sounds of political science, not actual science. Like the made-up, 6-foot rule, wearing a cloth mask is based on making people “feel” protected, not actually protected. Mask-wearing, red-faced parents screaming at other parents who want a choice to not mask their children are sad spectacles of pseudo-science cultists. If your child has a comorbidity, mask them with a M-95, or homeschool. You can take actual precautions that won’t force the rest of the population into the Mask Forever Cult.

The Mask Forever Cult is just the latest, New Age religion — all thanks to power-obsessed Covid Cardinals like Anthony Fauci. Can a new pledge be far behind?
